DAYS (Part I)
If Yesterdays were bronzen, Todays silvern and Tomorrows golden
Life would be a misery and a time of sorrow
For Yesterdays were not satisfactory and Todays were just satisfactory in a life where happiness is promised only in a day that never came
If Yesterdays were golden, Todays silvern and Tomorrows bronzen
Life would be happiness falling to misery
And it would be fair to say we live in denial if we believe in a better tomorrow
DAYS (Part II)
There are 7 days in a week, yes
But there are only 3 days in our lives
Some try to make distinctions saying '....my wedding day.....', '......the day I lost my innocence.....'' My birthday'
But verily the truth lies in maturity and the understanding that the only days are the one that has come to pass and which we will forever want to change - Yesterday
The day I write this poem (12th June 2005....12:10), the morn of a new day - today
And lastly, the day which holds our hope, tomorrow which we shall never see
So shall the three days come to an agreement?
A day when today means tomorrow forever
And when today will not become yesterday tomorrow
