The Department of Trade and Industry (the dti), together with leading universities, has established the University Research Network Programme (URN) – a collaborative agreement with South African universities to sponsor bursaries for prospective Masters degree studies in fields aligned to the mandate of the dti. These include Economics, Industrial Policy and International Trade.
To qualify for the dti bursary, prospective students must be:
*South African citizens,
*Registered for and accepted in a full-time coursework or research-based Master’s programme,
*In possession of a 60% minimum pass rate for a relevant Honours degree.
